Bento ends 2023 with record financial results – operating revenue of 58.2 million lei and net profit of 13.1 million lei
Bucharest, February 22, 2024: 2B Intelligent Soft (Bento, Intellectually Curious, BVB: BENTO), a Romanian entrepreneurial company specialized in the development and implementation of software solutions and the provision of IT and Cloud infrastructure services, posts operating revenue of 58.2 million lei in 2023, a 64% increase compared to 2022 and a net profit of 13.1 million lei, a 133% appreciation compared to the previous year. The 2023 financial results are preliminary and unaudited.
“2023 was a remarkable year for Bento. The significant revenue and net profit increase reflects both operational performance and our commitment to developing innovative software solutions and providing services at the highest standards. In addition, these record results highlight the success of our growth strategy, through which we substantially consolidated our position in the Romanian technology market. We are grateful to our partners, clients, and shareholders for their trust, which was essential in achieving last year’s objectives,” stated Radu Scarlat, Chairman of the Bento Board of Directors.
The Software Development (DEV) division contributed 47% to the 2023 operating revenue, while the IT, Infrastructure, and Cloud (IT) division contributed 53%. Of the total operating revenue, 74% was generated by turnover, 24% by investments in own software products, more precisely the development of the integrated modular software platform, in the context of the project with European funds. The remaining 2% were other operating revenue. Also, 46% of the turnover of 43.2 million lei (+50% vs. 2022) was recurring revenue.

The implementation of the project with European funds and the expansion into new verticals, such as „Services Cluster”, reflect our adaptability and strategic vision of continuous development. In 2023, Bento implemented the project with European funds to develop the “Platform for Modular Digital Transformation in the Enterprise Environment and the Public Sector.” Through this platform, Bento is well positioned to capitalize on the increasing demand for IT solutions from organizations, the need to customize solutions to the specific requirements of companies and public institutions, and their appetite for digitalization solutions in the cloud.
During the past year, the company was involved in the development of other significant projects, such as the infrastructure project with the final beneficiary the Energy Measurement Operator on the Wholesale Market (OMEPA), the development and implementation of Bento FSM for Distributie Energie Electrica Romania (DEER) and providing IT infrastructure management services for a multinational oil and gas company.
Last year was exemplary for Bento, not only from the perspective of projects but also from the perspective of growing and consolidating the team.
